Not sure what to say?

I worked with Steve at the KCSO, Lerdo Facility from the time he left Los Angeles. We worked custody and then patrol. In our 20 plus years of association I’ve never had an issue with the way he conducted himself with co workers or citizens we came into contact with.

Steve went about his work in a quiet, diligent, professional manner. Steve could give as well as follow orders.

We kept in contact for a time after we were both retired but we were moving in different...

I haven't seen or heard from Steve in a while and was hoping to buy or trade a couple blades with him like we did years ago. It was a shock to find out that he had passed. I was in Second Amendment Sports to see if he has come blade on consignment when I found out. I miss how he and I would just hang out at my old jobs( Barnes and Noble then Supply Sergeant) and just talk knives and martial arts. My deepest condolences goes out to Steve's family and friends.

Steve was the father of a wonderful son, Jeff, who like his father loves the outdoors, fishing and nature. This young man, who carries the torch for his father, has taken his love and curiosity for nature, and transformed it into a career as a geologist. Steve leaves Jeff as a wonderful legacy.

My heartfelt sympathy go out to you during this difficult time. i hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.

Steve:

Karen and I have always had a special place in our hearts for you and always will. We still remember the poinsettia you bought for Karen one Christmas and the thing just wouldn't stop growing. She watered it for about 8 months.

You are one of the good ones Steve and we were both hurt and shocked when we heard of your passing, and still are.

We don't know what else to say except good bye and may God Bless you and your family.

Richard & Karen Ramirez....
