I knew Steve in his younger years. Fall of 1967, I was new to NWI and Merrillville High School. When Steve realized I did not know anyone, he was the first person to welcome me and show me around. Later when he got married, I was his best-man. We drifted apart over time, but I never forgot his kindness and helpfulness. RIP friend and condolences to your family.
