BUTLER, Steven – Of Flushing, age 67, died Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 31, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Flint Junior Golf Association.
Steven was born in Englewood, California on March 15, 1951, the son of Ellis and Iva Mae (Coon) Butler.
Steven enjoyed building airplanes and he could fix anything.
He loved golfing, boating, cycling and spending time with his family.
Surviving are wife, JoAnn Butler;
children, Andrea (Jeff) Overman and Brent (Melissa) Butler;
grandchildren, Andrew and Riley Overman;
siblings, Lynn Butler, Sandra Cross, Ronald Butler and Donald Butler;
several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Iva Butler; brother, Gary Butler and sister, Dawn Fralick.

So sorry to all of the Butler family. Steve was such a fantastic person. Seemed like he always had a smile and enjoyed everyone. He was always happy to hit tennis balls with anyone at the Potter tennis courts and what a great pass catcher for the Indians! God bless.
