Not sure what to say?

Rest in peace my friend.

Steve was a loving, giving man. We were close friends from law school--and I had the privilege of having him in my life for 29 years. His sharp wit, incredible intellect, and crazy sense of humor are just a few of his many wonderful traits. Steve was a loyal friend who would give you the shirt off his back. Rest in peace, Steve--and keep tossing those lemons!

Tomorrow my afternoon will be spent celebrating the special life of my dear friend Steve Carpenter. I am still having a challenging time wrapping my brain around his passing, certain that a quick phone call would result in hearing his voice always filled with insight and love.

I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Steve. His sense of humor was always appreciated and his voice brought a smile to ones face. Missed, missed, missed. Rest in glorious peace.

Unfortunately, we will be unable to attend the Celebration of Steve's life. But we will celebrate him in our hearts. He was a wonderful man and a great friend. Chris always looked forward to his calls while working at McTroutt. We will miss him very much but never forget him.

So sorry to hear about Steve. May you draw strength from God at this difficult time.

My deepest condolences to the family. I am very sorry for the loss of your loved one. May you find comfort in our compassionate God who truly cares about us and he is not far off from each one of us. He is the hearer of prayers.

Steve was a great person and will be sorely missed. He was a knowledgeable and compassionate attorney with whom it was always a joy to work. Perhaps most, I will miss picking up the phone and hearing his voice on the other end of the line.
