Steve was so full of life and fun. I remember dancing with him in 1998, his energy gave me confidence and made me feel like I could do anything. The world will miss you, Steve.

My deepest sympathies to Steve's family. Steve was a wonderful, talented, gifted human being. I know Steve from our dancing days in Los Angeles.

He is the most beloved person I´ve ever known. We met on ship on a South American run long ago. Not only was he a great showman & comic, but he was a great swing dancer! So we went dancing a LOT. He told me his dream of being a Father. And I´m so happy he lived that dream. My deepest sympathies to his wife, children, his family & friends... I am thankful of the time I spent with him...

I´m deeply saddened to hear about Steve´s passing. I first met him in Singapore in the 90´s. When I moved to Santa Monica in 2000 he was my best friend. We had many riotous times together and I´ll cherish the memories of him for the rest of my life. RIP, my brother. See you on the other side. Deepest condolences to his loving family.

Condolences to Judy, Cindy, Mindy, Rebecca and the extended Carte family. I had the privilege of knowing Steve and the Carte family as their neighbor and Steve´s Boy Scout Leader. We shared Scouting activities which included skiing, canoeing, camping and boating. Steve always brought a spark of happiness and humor. Later in life, I enjoyed Steve´s jovial visits. I will miss the joy he brought to those around him. Rest in peace.
