Not sure what to say?

Im truly sorry for your lose. Mr. Steve sounded like an amazing, happy person to be around. In these times of sadness its always comforting to remember the words of our God in Jeremiah 29:11,12. Ill keep you and your family in my prayers.

I was very saddened to read about Mr. Cernak's passing.I remember him and his wonderful family from our time together at the Magnet High School in NJ. He was kind, funny, devoted to his family and genuinely loved life. My prayers are with all the Cernaks about whom I only have the fondest memories. So sad.

I will forever be grateful for Steve welcoming me into the community of the American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA). My first meetings in Washington in 2011 saw Steve taking me through the subway system in Washington as part of an AAPA after meeting social evening - a baseball game. Steve was the embodiment of kindness and patience, a larger than life guy possessing an equally large intelligence and sense of humor to match. Besides his many accolades, gifts, and successes he always remained inspiringly humble and committed to family. Growing up as a friend of his son I always had a great respect for the man. He will be dearly missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Cindy, Kimberly, Steven, Aunt Joan and Uncle Bob. We will always remember our trip to Galveston to rebuild the fencing around your home after the hurricane. It was a day of hard work and many laughs. Rest in peace dear Steve.

The first time Steve drove into our driveway. He was happily ensconced it a beat up old pickup truck that had windshield wipers operated by two ropes, one for each side. His passenger was a black Lab. Oh my, said I, I know I am on Staten Island and not the Ozarks.Little did I know that he would eventually marry our daughter and make us so proud of him. The Love and respect he gave us was and is reciprocated in full. Love you my son.

Mr. Cernak had a wonderful sense of humor. I will always remember the time when he picked his gift at the Christmas party's gift exchange. It was an apron with the picture of a muscular bare chest on the front. He immediately put it on, to the delight of all staff in attendance. He will be greatly missed by his Port family.
