Not sure what to say?

It is with great sadness I find out about Steve's battle with cancer and his passing several months later. Steve and I were once fierce some fishing buddies. I spilled the first blood of a Chinook salmon on the bottom of his brand-new drift boat. Both of us got married "in a rush" between our Junior and Senior years of college at OSU. We stayed in contact during his years of Cramer Fish Sciences but drifted apart once we both retired. Big mistake! I will always remember his wide-eyed look...

Steve will be greatly missed. He was such a friendly and passionate man in all that he did from his family, work, enjoying Gods creation, his personal relationship with God and studying Gods Word and living for Him. We enjoyed our friendship with him and Irma over many years being in Growth Group together and church. We enjoyed spending time with them! He was a great example to follow. He was faithful to his God and family to the end!

Dear Irma and Family,
I share the sadness in Steve’s passing, yet also a joy that he is now in the presence of our LORD Jesus Christ.
Steve and I experienced wonderful days as Boy Scouts in Troop 911, playing with and against each other on the baseball diamond and, most passionately, plying the local streams for rainbow trout and steelhead.
What a good man, who deeply loved God, his family, his friends and God’s majestic creation of all living things!
Sending my loveTony...

Good Bye, for now, to my beloved brother. The spot for the " Best man on Earth" is now temporarily open.

Steve was a friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and trusted colleague. His faith in the Lord was an inspiration to many, especially as he battled cancer so courageously. I will miss his counsel and keen insights on the CFS Board of Directors.
