Steve always kept everything in perspective. He knew what was important and always did the right for others. His aim was true. As the voice of the Portland punk band The Stiphnoyds he was all original. He was an artist, a writer, a philosopher and a humanitarian. He is also terribly missed. RIP Deke

His Uncle David and I always looked forward to his weekly visits, where we talked politics, sports, and then went down to our basement music studio and"made some noise". We miss him deeply. He had a razor sharp memory, and if we couldn't remember something Steve ALWAYS could..The other night we were looking at the full moon, and said, "Steve, we love you", we will always miss him.
