Not sure what to say?

It's hard to believe it's been a year since Steven's passing. I have missed him often. He was so active on neighborhood social media, offering much useful info, on several topics. He certainly got around within his local community. I'm sure it's been a hard year on Kate and his other family...it was such a different life without him! I hope his community cats have found another caregiver, though it would be hard to top the marvelous job that Steven did! He is so surely missed!

Steven was a free spirit who was always willing to help others. He took on caring for a small colony of feral cats, when no one else would...and he did marvelously with them! I'm terribly shocked to hear of his passing and wish the best for his family. The neighborhood lost a good comrade!

I can’t say enough about my amazing neighbor, you will be dearly missed I wish there were more like you Steve thank you for helping me find my beloved kitty 8 years ago and for always being a kind and active neighbor. Peace to you, your family and your beloved felines

I met Steve almost 20 years ago. Since then, I have been lucky enough to visit with Kate and Steve a few times. My future visits will seem lacking as I enjoyed hanging out on the porch with him and hearing all the escapades of his cats. He was smart and so thoughtful. I will miss you Steve. My heart is with Kate and the rest of his family.

I wish we spent more time together. So many interesting stories and talents!!! My condolences to Kate and the felines!!! I will miss you dearly Steve. Hope you’re jamming with dad again!!! RIP

Kate I love you so much and am so sorry for your loss. It was always fun having you both to our nutty shindigs. I will see you soon.

I met Steve when he was 12 years old. Even at that age he was a great musician and a free spirit.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to his wife Kate and his half brother Lee. Keep all the sweet memories of Steve close to your hearts and he’ll be with you always.

I will miss my social media liaison with Steven he was so passionate and a stand up guy.
Rest In Eternal Peace Mr. Dirks
