Not sure what to say?

When I was a kid Uncle Steve always had some cool story about his travels in the Navy. He was the epitome of cool to me and my brother Jesse. Nothing could phase him. We hung around him like two young puppies waiting for direction. Then he would send us down to the corner store to "grab a few things" and "keep the change" he would say. I don't think we ever ran faster. One, because we got to buy some candy with the leftover money and two, because winning his approval of returning quickly...

My condolence go out to the Doerfler family for the recent loss of a Son, a brother, an uncle, a cousin, a nephew, my friend and shipmate.
May the Grace of God except Steve into His Kingdom in the sky.

As Steve, the author of "cool" said as I lifted him onto the comforter to bring him to the hospital, "I'm not dead..... I'm just Mostly dead." He KNEW God and God KNOWS him. My brother, my buddy, you will be sorely missed. For now, your very saddened sister, Luana

Family

We will miss you Uncle Steve, let Grandpa, Uncle Rick and Aunt Jeannie know that we still think of them often as well. Thank you for being the role model uncle that you were, as you and Bruno both made me want to be just like you guys by joining the Navy. Sorry that you and I never took the time to swap sea stories.
