I am unable to go to Steve's service on Saturday, but I wanted to pass on my condolences to the family. Steve was a great man, a great friend, and a great mentor. Steve taught me how to golf as a young town manager and inspired me to continue in my career when I was thinking of a career change early on. Steve always had a smile on his face, that's the thing I remember the most when I think of him. A great man gone too soon. Thinking about his family with love at this difficult time.

Steve was genuinely a good person, and someone that I could go years without contact and it would be like we just saw each other yesterday. I am saddened at his untimely passing.
