I have not seen Steven since we graduated from George Washington High School in Danville, Virginia, in 1973. Growing up in Southside Virginia, Steven seemed very cosmopolitan to me, and he was a friend the last two years of high school. He loved music, and I am glad to learn that he pursued a career in music.

Mr. Eckels was a huge inspiration to my daughter Bettreena Jaeger. He encouraged her in both guitar and singing. He brought her forward to sing and play guitar at various events in kalispell. Much respect. We loved him. Sincerely, Sandy Taylor (also a former/retired teacher from School District 5) love, sandy

Such heart-breaking news. He worked with my husband the late Jim Kasperson on a communion liturgy, `With Hope and Freedom." An amazing talent
