Not sure what to say?

I had Mr. Fields for math way back in 1984. His personality always stood out above everyone else and I even remember when he was not only my teacher but our waiter at medlins! Everyone love him back then and it sounds as if that love never changed. He will be remembered as one of my favorite teachers. His passing marks the loss of a teacher that cannot be replaced. Many blessings for healing to all his family and friends.

I didn't have Mr. Fields but I always talked to him in the hall at Pittman Hills (Raytown Middle now). I to enjoy reading and he would always quiz me on the books I had with me. What a wonderful man and teacher he was. Thanks for helping my joy become even bigger and may you rest in eternal peace.

My sisters and I always wanted to go to the school where Uncle Steve taught. He was always so cool and so fashionable. Joey still to this day talks about his Z Cavaricci jacket that she always wanted and he promised her she could have it when he was done with it. He was a great uncle! I'll miss him lots! Love ya, Jackie

Mr. Fields was my 6th grade teacher at Norfleet Elementary. If I recall correctly, it was his first year at Norfleet. He was not only the coolest teacher, but a teacher that really cared about mine/all of our educations and was more like a friend then a teacher. The Raytown school district has lost one of the best! Godspeed Mr Fields!

Steve was my 6th grade teacher at Norfleet Elementary (yes, back when 6th grade was STILL IN the elementary school!) At the time, I thought it very cool that he was my teacher because I knew his parents from church. ;) Steve was definitely the teacher everyone wanted to have because he was willing to try things that weren't normally done in the classroom, just to give us a new way of learning things. If I remember right, he was the only male teacher in the entire grade school at the time,...

As Steve's former principal, I would simply like to say that he was always there when we needed him and his passing will leave a void in this world. So long, my friend.

Mr. Fields was my reading and math teacher at Raytown Middle School. Without his guidance, I am not sure that I would be where I am today. He was a wonderful teacher and person. I am very sad to know that he has passed away so young.

My prayers go out to Mr. Fields' family. I had him in 6th grade as an ET and he was a very good teacher. He will be missed.

I had Mr. Fields for 7th grade Math, and I am very sorry to see that he passed, and I am send my sympathy to his family. Although I ended up majoring in English, I almost went the Math way. I enjoyed his math class very much, and I actually think about him every time I write the number "7". He crossed his 7's in the middle, and when I was 12, I thought it was "cool" so I started doing it and still do it to this day. One of those things that I will do because of habit now for the rest of...
