Forbes, Steven A. age 55, of Brooklyn Park, passed away suddenly on 12/07/07 at his cabin on Lake Mille Lacs where he loved to be. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Maynard Forbes; sister, Susan Sodergren; and his infant son. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 31 years, Kathy; his two children, Michael and Jodi who meant everything in the world to him; his loving and caring mother, Myrna Forbes; sister, Shelly (Roger) Anderson; brothers, Scott (Lynae) Forbes and Ron (Marcia) Frey; many very dear nieces, nephews, relatives and friends that he loved to spend with. He was employed by CenterPoint Energy where he worked in Fleet Services. Steve enjoyed life to the fullest. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, hunter, auto mechanic, and handy man. We were blessed to have him in our lives and will have a celebration of that on Thursday 12-13-07 at Brooklyn United Methodist Church, 7200 Brooklyn Boulevard, Brooklyn Center, with visitation at 3:30 PM and his memorial service to follow at 5:30 PM. Memorials are preferred to the family and will be divided among the American Heart Association, PERM (Proper Economic Resource Management), and to further aid in Michael and Jodi's continuing education.

We are so sorry to hear about the death of our cousin,Steven life is so short and always so fast it is times like this that you wished that we all would of made more time for family. We had a lot of good times when we were kids. In the fall of the year everyone came and gathered at our home in Springfield to go pheasant hunting with our dad,Otto.Many many good memories. I am very saddened to hear of the loss of Steve. I received a poem due to a death in my family that included the words "Wipe away your tears as I will be spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year." May God, friends and family help you through this difficult time

We are so incredibly sorry for your loss. Steve was one of the nicest people we have ever known. He would do anything for anyone without looking for anything in return. The world lost a fantastic person but through faith we will see him again someday. You are all in our thoughts and in our prayers.
