Not sure what to say?

Steve was one of the Master Naturalists instructors, and I always enjoyed Steve great smile and how much he loved teaching others about the outdoors. I think about Steve often, and pray for his family that God will give you peace. Steve was a great guys, he will be missed.

Thanks to all of you for your prayers and words of comfort at this very sad time. May God Bless All of You. Robert and Joan Gaul, Harlan, IA, Steve's Dad and Mom.

We are so sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace.

My sympathy, I can even imagine how terrible to lose a child. Steve was our daughter Becky's age, and I remember when he was born. We send hugs.

I enjoyed the naturalist course I took that Steve taught. He was amiable, relaxed, patient, had great stories, and clearly found his work interesting, and knew his stuff. It was my privilege to have met him and known him. I am certain he will be deeply missed by many people.

Happy FMNP grads at Tree Hill Nature Center!

Steve touched many lives while sharing his love of Florida's natural world. In a few short years, he made a tremendous contribution toward greater understanding and respect for our environment. He will be missed by those of us he taught.

I just met Steve through Extension and our heartfelt prayers are with you all at this time.

Steve was my teacher for the Fl Master Naturalist program. He was smart, enthusiastic about the subject and had a true love of nature. I liked him from the beginning because he was very approachable and friendly. I had corresponded with him recently about his upcoming class and we were both excited about getting together again. I am deeply saddened at his sudden death and extend my sincere symphathy to his family... He will be greatly missed.

Marie and Leyni....there is no way that we can tell you we "know" what the two of you are going through at this time. We can tell you that we have each, experienced the sudden loss of a loved one and that it's not easy.
Take comfort in knowing that the two of you are surrounded by people who care for you and are there for you if you need a shoulder to lean on.
The Steve we knew was quiet, laid back and obviously loved by many.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of Steve's family.
