I can't believe it's been almost a year since you left us, Steve. You are missed. I wish your family the best and hope their holidays are filled with wonderful memories of you. You were a great man and better friend.

I just heard this news and I'm devastated!! My thoughts go out to you Kathy and to all of his family!!! Steve was an amazing friend and musician I will never forget!!! The memories!!!! We shared!!!

I just heard this sad news. Steve was a friend that I played music with - in fact, we jammed twice just last year. He was a wonderful, upbeat man that seemed to love life. A mention of Jaco Pastorius would bring a smile that could light up a room. Rest well, my friend. Thanks for sharing some great notes and fun over the years.

I've already lost count of how many times I thought of you thanks to the millions of inside jokes over the years. And I always will.

I am so sorry to his family. Being a bassist myself, and knowing Steve for 25 years or so, in the business...I always called him "Bass Bro". I am really going to miss him, his playing and his personality.
