To my big brother, what can I say. I'm so glad that when you came in to town in the last few years and especially so often in the last year that you stayed with me at my house so many times. We had a lot of good laughs. You had a lot of wonderful children and grand children that loved you dearly. You are and will be so missed by the whole family. Now who is going to make our Lefsa and Krumkaka and Fatemans? How does one say goodbye...I will see you sooner or later. Thanks for being a good...

I will always remember my Uncle Steve playing his guitar and singing, his purple Road Runner car, camping, his sense of humor and how I used to get so mad at him when I was young for always calling me "Donald" instead of my name. As I grew older, I was proud that he called me "Donald." It held a special place in my heart because he made me feel special. I will miss him dearly and how he always made me laugh. "Donald" loves you Uncle Steve and will cherish all of the memories of the short time...

I remember Steve from our years at Evergreen Jr. High and Cascade Sr. High. I'm sorry for your loss, and wish for your family God's grace during this sad time.

Since Steve was my "little brother" and much younger than I, I did not grow up with him like my other sisters. I really came to know him as an adult through our yearly campout reunions and Christmas Eve at my place. The kids always looked forward to seeing him and it wasn't an "event" if he was absent. He was always "one of the kids" even after he had his own children.
He will be sorely missed by me as a brother and by my children and grandchildren as their Uncle. Bye, Steve,...

Thinking of Steve now and then always found me smiling. He was great fun when we were kids and we found much to talk about whenever we happened upon one another. He was also a great comfort when each of my parents passed. He will be deeply missed.

I'm so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. He and I spent many long days playing in the woods beyond his house in Silver Lake as kids. We went to Silver Lake Elementary together and on to Evergreen and Cascade. We had corresponded several times a couple years ago to reminisce about the childhood days. He was a good guy.
