Not sure what to say?

The only 2 people that I personally saw hit a baseball on and over the Cameron building were Gus and Ron Von Holten. AND they were only 15-17 when they did it!!!! I have no idea what the distance would be but they were, for that moment, major league hits/home runs. :) R.I.P. GUS.

Sending positive thoughts and prayers to all of Gus´s family and friends. My condolences to you all.

Gus was a great guy. Many fond memories growing up in Walnut with Gus and his brothers. Gus could hit a baseball from the left side so far. He constantly was flying balls over that right field fence onto the tennis court. Harper Bowl was a favorite fall activity on Sundays. So much fun. He loved coaching and teaching kids. So sorry for his loss.

Condolences to the Harper family , remember the old days of the "Harper Bowll", great times in are lives.

Gus and I worked together at Sauk Valley College on the ground crew while we attended school there. We both attended NIU and lived on the same dorm floor our first year there. Gus was such a great guy and I was saddened to see that he had passed.
