Not sure what to say?

I am not sure that this is the right Steven Hash, but I believe we met many years ago at the NIH. We were pen pals for several years in junior high. He was the friend I needed as a teenager in the hospital. It was comforting to know that someone else my age shared the same challenges that a bone marrow disease brings with it. I see that Steven died several years ago, but I just found our pen pal letters several months ago while cleaning out my parents house. If this is not the same...

Steven and I went to school together at a very young age but I never forgot him. I know he is now at peace and in God's hands.

To the family,
Our prayers are with you all.We were nextdoor neighbors on Searcy Street and knew Mac, Debbie and Steven well and we knew the burdens that Steven had to bare.
Steven was a very sweet and strong person and I know that you all are very proud of him.
God be with you.
Sincerely, David and Mary Evans

Steven,
A tear crosses my cheek as I think about you. We were best friends at a very young age. You were my FIRST friend. I have so many memories of us playing on Searcy Street. Me, you, and our dads going fishing and camping in Tennessee and Virginia. I remember us skateboarding, riding bikes. I remember you moving away. Man, we lost touch but I'll never lose the memories. I was already missing you. Now I'll miss you until I see you again.
I'll be praying for family and friends
