I just found out about this today. I am shocked, and deeply saddened. Steve and I were practically joined at the hip throughout school. He and his family were always so generous and thoughtful. I will miss Steve, a lot. I counted him as one of the truly great friends in my life

Steve was like a son to us and we miss him so very much. His heart was gold. He was determined to help us with everything. He made our lives so much easier in every way. We were devastated when we received a call telling us of his passing. He was a dear,sweet man. His hugs were warm and sincere and many times it felt as though he never wanted to let go. Steve was the first person to reach out to and befriend me in 4th grade at Bean Elementary School when we were kids and I was the new guy. We shared so many beautiful memories...from all of our hard fought little league games, to the first time we shared a drink...he was a great friend, a good man, and the best! He will be missed, very much. I love you Steve

I'm very saddened to hear of Steve's passing, Steve was a very prominent person in my early life and his passing only reminds me of all the experiences we shared in our youth and the sorrow knowing I won't run into him somewhere when our paths happen to cross agaiin here on this earth.
