Thirty Seven years with CSX the first half of my career was as a Railroad Detective and I had the pleasure to talk with Steve on many occasions. He was a fun person to be around. The second half of my career was as a Longshoreman and I had the pleasure of making friends and working with his son, Blaine. Knowing Blaine I could tell that he raised a fine family. Please accept my warmest well wishes as I was unable to attend the visitation. God Bless the Helton Family.

Worked with Steve for decades on B&O and CSX railroad, An outstanding conductor, he accepted responsibilities as a leader, husband and father at a young age. A capable athlete in his youth he shared his knowledge and passion for sports as a coach. Steve took great pride in the athletic accomplishments of his sons. May he rest in peace;
