Did not know "Ponytail Steve" all that well, but when passing each other in the hallways of SUMC Preschool where I am employed, or his popping in to one of the classrooms to offer any type of maintenance assistance, Steve was always polite, kind, helpful, and easy to talk or laugh with, even if only a quick chit-chat. His tall stature surely helped out us "little people", and his presence amongst the children was always calm with that gentle smile. I will miss running into him at SUMC, but...
