Not sure what to say?

Working with Steve many years ago taught me so much about his specialty and the manner in which to properly and successfully represent a physician. I miss his brilliance as an attorney, and his loyalty as a friend. May God grant him eternal peace. It is hard to believe it is now ten years since Steve's unexpected passing.

Sending love and gratitude to the Kern family on this sad day. Steve brought so many people together and made the world a better place with his kindness. I am so blessed to have known him, and to still be a part of his remarkable family. I will light a candle today in his memory. He lives on in all of our hearts and minds.

Steve will remain with us forever. His smile, laughter and generosity stay in the minds of all of us that knew him well. He had such an influence on those of us within his circle and he is always missed. Sending my love to Cheryl, Alex, Brian, Cynthia, and Lindsay.

Mr Kern was an amazing man. I just found out about his death today. He was my lawyer....One day I had to go in front of a committee and really needed his support. He could have sent anybody in with me.... He came himself, his leg was in a cast and he was with crutches. But, he came for me.... at time I was a resident and wasn't making that much money, I had been out of job for a while and was way behind in my payment. He came to protect me, although he knew I wouldn't be able to pay him back...

I had the distinct honor of acting as co-counsel with Steve back in 1991-1992 in an extremely significant and complex case. Steve was simply one of the finest attorneys I have ever seen "in action",not to mention his qualities as a devoted husband to Cheryl, and a loving father to all of his children. What a tragic and tremendous loss this is for all of us who knew him. My wife and I send our deepest sympathies to his family, his law partners and associates, and to all of his clients who were ...

Steve was an amazing man that I had the pleasure of working with over the past 5 or so years. I always felt at ease anytime he was in my corner in many of the business meetings that he attended with me. He could take even the most tense meeting and have everyone leave with a smile on their face. He was a great role model in showing me that you can balance your business and family and be successful in all aspects of life. He was a calming force in the turbulent business of healthcare. It...

I want to tell you what a wonderful man Steve was. I have had the pleasure of working him with over the past 5 or so years. He showed grace under pressure and could take even the most stressful meeting in stride with everyone usually smiling at the end. I know he loved his family as he mentioned them often and I thought of him as a role model too. That you can be the best business person but that means nothing unless you show that same passion for your family too. I will miss both our...

As Steven's Aunt Gittie (my mother) so eloquently said, "Steven, you're the best!" How right she was!! We love all of you! Our wonderful family memories will give us all strength.
