Not sure what to say?

It is amazing that a year ago myself, your family and friends were about to lose a great person. The emotions I went through this next month a year ago were just like yesterday. I hope you knew I was there every morning before work and every night after, and even then some. I have a empty place in my heart that will always be there. I'm sure you are at peace, but what I would give for just one more HUG from you. Miss you terribly---First Mate :)

Miss you Kys....

Well Honey I made it through the 1st official cookout of the summer. Jimmy took over the grill duties and I think he was a little nervous.
I had a nice talk with Vince Fye today. I talked about you and the 1st cookout thing and he said I took a big load off his shoulders cuz he didn't know what to say to me when he'd see me and felt uncomfortable about talking about you and things we've all done together. He really misses you a lot and now he feels he can talk to ME about all the fun...

Hi Honey, Well this Sat. is the Pork Chop Scramble and I'm really gonna miss you being there; esp. when you try to tell me how to COOK the chops! LOL I would love to hear that again! Your buddies haven't left us down either, we have 17 teams and Patty at Tammy is really helping make this a special day. We have a new banner, a plaque for future outtings. We will ALL miss your laugh and sillyness. Love you still, LL

I WILL ALWAYS MISS YOU .ILL REMEMBER THE GREAT TIMES WE HAD TOGETHER WHERE EVER WE WERE.REST IN PEACE MY SPECIAL FRIEND

I fell in love with your LAUGH 18 yrs. ago this month and thought we'd grow old together boating at Lake Erie and enjoying life. Your big heart, smile and personality was one of a kind! I'm grateful for getting to know a great family and tons of good friends through you. I'm really going to need them now and for a long time coming.
It was so hard to see you suffer and that I couldn't make your pain go away . I have always been there to take care of you. But I know in my heart...

I haven't seen Steve for years but I have fond memories of swimming, ice skating, hiking and pick-up basketball, football & softball games with Steve and all the other guys in the old allotment. Peace be with you my friend from your old buddy "Jaybird".

Steve was one of a kind. I'm fortunate to have known him most of my life and have him as a close friend. I will dearly miss you Kys.
