Not sure what to say?

Steve was my dear friend, we played soccer together and encountered just about everything two friends growing up in Bakersfield could, like the time we had the bright idea to ride our bicycles to Hart Park and nobody would come get us so we had to ride all the way back. I have a ton of memories that I will cherish forever. I love you as a brother would. I'll never forget.

When I found out that steve had past away i was in shock. The memories that ihave of our times togeather were coming back to me all at once.I am going to miss steve vary much!! But he will be in my heart forever.

I remember so well the fun-loving, energetic, can-do Steven Lashley as a student in Civic Education at Bakersfield High School. He was such a warm, articulate, thoughtful human being who loved being active and in the center of everything. He truly was a "one-of-a-kind" person. Mrs. Polite, Mr. Cowles and I really treasured Steven as a student and person. Steven's family and friends are in our thoughts and prayers.

I have so many wonderful childhood memories, of work up baseball, and flag football, hide and go seek and just great friendships with your family on the cul de sac at Terrel Court. I miss you all, and am very mournful at your loss, its mine too! Love Christine
