Not sure what to say?

Marilyn and family,
I just heard of Steve's passing and I am deeply saddened for your loss. You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. May you find peace and comfort in your memories of Steve.

To the Lawrence Family,
Both my husband and I are so saddened for your loss. We were patients of Dr. Lawrence for more than 10 years. He was the kindest, gentlest person we have ever known. A doctor who truly listened and addressed every concern. Not only was Dr. Lawrence our doctor, he was our friend. ...Dr. Lawrence, we are truly going to miss you. You will never be forgotten.

To his wife & family:
I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Lawrence at Plank Road Clinic. He was an awesome Dr and a great man! He will truly be missed by MANY. RIP, Dr Lawrence :(

To the Lawrence family,
My husband and I were greatly saddened to hear of the death of Dr. Lawrence. He was the physician to our children Alicia, Trevor and Ben. They always enjoyed their yearly physicals with him because he treated them with respect as well as great fun. He did a pretty good Donald Duck imitation and when the kids outgrew that he patiently listened to their stories. He is greatly missed.

Marilyn & Family,
I had the pleasure of knowing Steve here at the Medical College for 17 1/2 years. He and I had many talks when he came up to work with Deb Simpson. It was always interesting and informative. He was always so kind and sweet. He laughed a lot and was always smiling. He always seemed to love his work. I will miss him, our chats, and his smile. My Prayers and Thoughts are with you.

So sorry to hear of Steve's death. He will be fondly remembered as a kind and thoughtful person. I'm sorry that he wasn't able to sit for many years in that old, wooden, Marquette chair that he refinished so beautifully!

Rest in peace Steve. You're in a better place. Lots of memories from IWU. Your Roomate and Theta Chi fraternity brother,
Dr. Bob & Kathy Cassidy

Words can not describe the influence Dr. Lawrence had on my life or the lives of his other patients. I guess I am one of the few blessed people who was able to know Dr. Lawrence in more than one aspect. I first met him as my physician where he was one of the most kind and attentive people I have ever met. After entering medical school, he was a mentor figure in more than one of my "classes". Again, he showed so many qualities I wished to contain in myself as a physician and as a person. ...

To The Lawrence Family:
It was my privilege and pleasure to work with Dr. Lawrence for several years at the Medical College. He was an integral part of developing and implementing the Nutrition Education program that Dale Nulichek Rasmussen and myself taught to freshmen and junior medical students. I could always count on Steve to be there helping in many ways to make it an effective program. My heartfelt condolences to all of you.
