Not sure what to say?

Max- you were my best friend and lover for such a long time. I met you at such a tender time in my life and always enjoyed our fun times together. I will remember our trips to San Fran, Kona and Maui. I dreamed we might have a life together at some point but now your soul is in a much better place. I will miss you and hold a special place for you always in my heart.
May you rest in peace.

Max - My dear friend and good buddy. I always looked up to you and enjoyed hanging out with you. You were like a big brother to me. I was able to enjoy your friendship while at JJ Pearce, North Texas, Sherwood Blount, my wedding, the birth of your daughter and my children and many, many other special events throughout your life. I will really miss talking with you and sharing our lives together. You were a very special person and I can't believe you are gone. God has taken you under his...

From the time I first started knowing Max as a rival at North Junior High, he was my friend, and he continued to be all through high school and as young adults in Dallas attempting to make our mark in life. He was always upbeat and encourageing, quick with his winsome smile or a light-hearted jab. Although we lost touch for periods of time when I moved from Dallas years ago, it was always easy to pick up where we left off the few times I got to see or talk with him thereafter. I will mourn...

A high school rival that always was a good guy. I will see you with Jesus some day.

My Dear Max, I met you when I was 19 years old and fell absolutely in love with you. You were my life for so long. It is hard to believe that you are gone and I will miss hearing your silly laugh and your funny stories. You never believed it, but you were a good man, you just didn't want to accept it. I always believed in you and I think you knew that in your heart. You will always have a piece of my heart Max and I will never forget you. All of my love to you and I hope you have...

Max and I graduated together from J.J. Pearce. I was stunned and saddened to find out about Max this afternoon. My prayers go out to all of his family.

I went to high school with Max and remember him as an athletic, kind, generous person. I met his mother (Inez) in the late 90's and was given Max's cat (Lizzie), as he couldn't take her with him to California for a job change. I will think of Max each time I look at the cat and will remember our time together with the JV football team at JJ Pearce high school.

My sincere condolences to his family and friends. Max will be remembered and never forgotten. May he rest in peace.

We often talked of your dreams of "KONA" sitting at Lava Java sipping coffee and enjoying the ocean breezes. I know that is not a dream but a reality! I will miss our long training rides and conversations. ALOHA my friend, you are finally home.
