Not sure what to say?

As one of the many Lopata cousins, I'm adding my thoughts and prayers. I learned so much about Steve from his obituary! I mostly remember him as a child when we would go target shooting in a quarry somewhere! And for his love of Sci-Fi! A shout-out to you, Steve, wherever you are and in whatever form of energy! Love, Cousin Gina

I served with Steve on the WUSTL Library Council & one of our sons holds 3 WUSTL Engineering degrees. What a beautiful memorial for an intriguing gentleman, scholar & patriot!
Susan J. Miller, WUSTL 1976

May God Bless.

For all the decades I knew you your smile never changed. You always had some great story to share about animals or a trip or something you knew I would be interested in hearing about. I am absolutely positive I will still hear your voice the next time I go to Archon. Rest well Steve.

I will miss Steve. In the old days at Archon sitting in HQ or VIP listening to his stories and adventures in life and at other conventions. We have lost another great, the world will not be the same.

Steve, you are missed so much by so many. I am honored to have met you.

Steve and I enjoyed many a late night hour trading tales at Archon. Those conversations are treasured as an integral part of my memories at Archon, There will forever be an empty spot in the VIP , godspeed Steve

Peace and prayers to his family and friends

Steve was a great guy. I knew him through Archon and the SF world. He once brought a tiger cub to Archon, and I have the picture of me and the tiger cub. So cool, and interesting to talk with. He will be missed!
