I was so fortunate to have Steve and Marilynn volunteer with my class in our school garden. They were there every week taking time out of their day to teach us about plants and kindness. We still have the “Peace Pole” that they helped the students make right outside our room as a reminder of how we should treat each other. Thank you for being such dedicated and patient role models. Take care, Marilynn, and keep enjoying those lovely grandchildren.

I had the great fortune to meet Steve when I was in high school in San Jose CA in the early 1960s. We were friends and shared a number of amusing adventures. We went separate ways and I met Steve again in 2015 living in Los Osos, eight blocks away. The Steve I met in 2015 was the same wonderful man I met all those many years ago. His generosity of spirit, his willingness to share himself authentically. We love you, Marilyn. You both truly are in our hearts and minds forever

I will never forget the smile on Steve's face, the laugh he had and his warm heart. He always took his time at family gatherings to ask about everything you've been doing. He will be missed terribly. Marilyn, Nicole and Michelle, you have been and will always be in my thoughts and prayers.

Steve had the warmest heart of our family. I am a better person for having had him as a relative and a friend.... His absence leaves a massive emptiness in my soul. My love to Marilynn, Nicole and Michelle with all my heart.
