I can't imagine the loss of a child much less two. My heart aches for the pain you must feel. I know we all feel safe in our secure homes while children like yours protect us from harms way. I will always remember your sons and what a great father they have.

Mike, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I am sorry that I never had a chance to meet Steven but I am sure if he is half as friendly, helpful and sincere as you then this is a huge loss. I know how hard it was when I thought I was going to lose my daughter and can't imagine the pain you must be feeling losing two sons. My heart goes out to you and please don't hesitate to let me know if there is anything I can do.

So much has changed since I saw you last. No longer my sweet little neighbor, you've grown up to be a real hero. My heart goes out to your family. I love and miss you all very much.

As we cry and share your sorrow, I think of Mary the Mother of Jesus as she buried her son. Only mothers can know what it is to lose a child. God and Steven are watching over you.
