Not sure what to say?

After all these years I still find it hard to believe that Steve is gone - far too early in a life that promised much more. A professional baseball player, indeed. A good man? Even more so. He was a joy to know, to watch on the mount and remember as a cousin and professional Baseball Player - he achieved such great such success in life in so many ways. He is missed.

I remember Steve as just a great person and I looked up to him when I attended St. Augustine's Grade School. He was the pitcher that I always wanted to be because you see I was also a ball player in the 3 & 2 Baseball league but Steve was 4 years older and he dated my sister Mary while he was attending Rockhurst High where I graduated from and played Football, Baseball, and basketball.
I had not been in contact with Steve for years but I always remember his personal interest in other...

I went to De La Salle with Rick Mingori and then had the pleasure of meeting Steve in Detroit, Michigan when I went to the Royal's opening series in 1977. I had dinner with Steve and other ballplayers and he was gracious and took a great interest in me when I told him that I went to school with Rick. It is a memory I will always cherish andmy condolences to his family.

The Campbell Family would like to express our deepest sympathies to the Mingori family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you..

My condolences to the family. I remember seeing the "lefty" play. He was a great reliever.

To Mindy and all the family,

I will always remember the Mingori family from St. Augustine's. Our families go back to the early years, the Mingori’s, Carlson’s and Chassaniol’s! My dad took great pride in coaching Steve during his grade school years as well as watching him play pro ball! My thoughts and prayers to Steve’s children, his mother Pearl and to Rick, Suzy and Vicki. May your memories bring you comfort and peace.

Our thoughts & prayers are with you during this difficult time.
Hugs & kisses are coming your way~
