I'll remember Steve as a gentle, kind man who never had a negative word to say. He was also a really good bass player. I'm using the past tense by convention; in fact, now that he's with the Lord, he remains gentle and kind and is an even better bass player.

While I did not know Steve personally, I had met Sue on several occasions when their girls were younger. Thinking of you today Sue. I’m so sorry for Steve’s passing.

We are sadden to hear of the passing of Steve Okawa. He was such a nice and caring Manager while working under his leadership in Facility Management at Savannah River Site . Thoughts and Prayers to his wife Sue and Family. Sleep in Peace Steve.

I was fortunate to spend many hours working with Steve at SRS. Because he was such a good guy I'm proud to say we were friends first and co-workers second. Always upbeat and eager to pitch in to solve problems, he was truly a joy to know.

My sincere and heartfelt condolences to Steve's family and to other friends who are hurting at this loss. I pray that God's grace and the wonderful memories of a fine man will comfort you in this time of sorrow.

RIP my friend.
