Steven G. Parker

I just recently learned of Steve's passing almost a year after the fact. I was very sad to receive this news. I met Steve when I attended Mott Community College and we became friends during spring break in Daytona. Like Steve I joined the U.S. Army and was an MP reservist before becoming a Flint police officer. My career eventually led me to south Florida where I can retire in a few more years. Before moving to Florida I would run into Steve once in awhile and we would catch up. Many years...

My heartfelt sympathy goes to the family of Steve Parker. I met Steve on Christmas Eve when he helped me try to locate my stolen purse. He was so attentive to my situation and I'll never forget his caring way and the support he gave me. Your husband and father was truly one of the best!

My condolences to all of you. I was shocked when I heard the news. Love you all, I will keep you forever in my thoughts and prayers. Thanks again, Steven, for your dedicated service to our community. You will be missed, but rest in peace now. Well done, good and faithful servant.
