Not sure what to say?

I worked with Steve for several years through the Monument Partnership. He was very supportive of our agency's (Center for Human Development) work in that region. I remember the last time I saw him at our December pot luck. I was retiring the next day and we all sat around telling stories - Steve had the best with his adventures of bears and such. I'll always remember his kindness and thoughtfulness. My deepest sympathy to his family.

Peavler Girls,
I am so sorry to hear the news, my heart goes out to you. I will always have fond memories of all the times spent hiking, riding around in the white jeep and just being at the house. Steve will always be remembered as a wonderful man. Sending my love.

I was truly sorry to hear of Steve's passing. I worked with him for a few years on projects in the Monument Community Partnership. One I'll never forget is the parent education night. He was a key member of the greatest, most caring group of professionals I've ever worked with. He'll be greatly missed. My sympathy goes out to all his family and friends.

My sympathies to Steve's family and friends.

Steve and I were working on a upcoming Grand Canyon trip in MAY and he was so looking forward to getting back on the river with his family and friends.

Though I had yet to meet him, he always had the best positive attitude and I had hoped to share the experience with him on the water as we followed his line.

Our connection was the river and I mourn the loss of the boatman

I was sadden to hear of the loss of Steve Peavler. He was truly a kind and generous person. My condolences to the family. I pray peace, comfort and healing.

The Board of Directors and staff of the Child Abuse Prevention Council send our deepest symphony to Steve's family. Steve was a very special friend to us all and worked closely with us over the years to ensure the safety of chidlren in Contra Costa. We will miss Steve's dedication and know his spirit will live on.

I had the pleasure of working with Steve while he was in Martinez. He was a wonderful and caring person. His vision for families should be a universal mandate. I hope that your memories of him are able to bring you comfort at this sad time.

Peavler Family,
I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I remember so many good times- camping and backpacking in Shasta with Hannah, Jeannette and Steve and just growing up in the Peavler household. Steve was always so warm and interested in what all of us girls were doing and he will be greatly missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Steve over the years on the Contra Costa County Child Interview Center. As the representative from Social Services. Steve was instrumental in getting the support we needed to make the Center a reality. He was a gentle, kind and funny man, and I can only imagine the heartbreak his family and close friends must be feeling.
