I met Steve when I was 14, he was such a great guy with a gentle way about him, we knew each other through high school until he moved to Sac.We lost touch, but he was one who was never forgotten. I always loved Steve, to the Pirkey family my deepest sympathy, he was a wonderful man.

To the family and many friends of Steve Pirkey, I offer my heartfelt condolences. Although Steve suffered a long illness, this time is never easy when it finally comes.
Sharing memories, I recall how much so many of our memories were made because of the people we meet through working at Aramark. My condolences to the entire Pirkey family. Steve was a good friend since early boys' club days through high school. Over the years we played both with each other and against each other and they were always enjoyable. To Jimmy and Patti, the two Pirkey kids I knew better than the others, I know Steve will be missed by you and you will be in my prayers. I wish I could have been able to make the service. Steve, you will be missed!
