Not sure what to say?

Christy, Brian and Marcy;
You can tell a lot about a person by the legacy they leave behind. Not the material things, not position and property and pride, but rather their relationships and the quality/health of these relationships. I'm sorry I didn't get to meet Steve when you all were here to visit Christy in April, but to meet Christy-- to know her as the wonderful person she is, to hear her speak of her family, to see her joy and sense of peace even in the midst of her sorrow, to...

Christy,
This has to be an extremely difficult time for you and I just want you to know that I'm still praying for you. I admire your strength and dependence on God--always remember that He is with you!
Love ya,

Dear Marcy and family,

I was saddened to hear about Steve's untimely death, and express my deepest sympathies to you and your family. He was a wonderful friend and will be missed by all who knew him.

Steve was one of my best friends at Central High School! I have many fond memories of picnics with him and "the gang" in Red Wing, double dates, phone conversations, and sitting near him in American history.

Not long ago, I enjoyed his phone call visit...

My sincere condolences to the family. We were very shocked to see a familiar face in the obituaries! It was our old "paper boy". Steve was an unbelievably friendly person when he was delivering our newspaper back many years ago. How many "carriers" would stop and talk to you while delivering the paper? Steve always stopped to talk to us! He was always very friendly and smiley.

I also remember seeing Kristy in the play at Simley when she was a senior! What an amazing girl and...

Dearest friends,
We can't thank you all enough for your kind words, thoughts and prayers. We want you to know that God is listening and answering your prayers. Even through our tears, we are praising and thanking God every day since Steve joined the choir in Heaven. The strength and peace that God has blessed us with is absolutely amazing and indescribable!!!. We know that the road of mouring is long, but we also know that Jesus is right beside us. Sometimes He's holding us by our...

Christi,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I know that we have not talked since High School, but I just wanted to let you know that your family is in our thoughts and prayers. I remember having your dad as a softball coach. I didn't know him well, but I remember his big warm smile.

Marcy and family, I was shocked and saddened when I learned of Steve's passing. Having just seen him (and you) at our 35th class reunion a few weeks ago will hold an even more special place in my heart and memories. Me, my husband Ron and my brother Beany pray your strength and peace in God's love.

What a privilege it was to have known Steve, even though it was a brief time, he made an impression on me. I worked with Steve at Thrivent and was impressed with his kindness and extremely positive attitude. He spoke of his family often. God Bless you Steve and family.

It was my first day at work and I didn't know a soul in the whole building. I had been sitting alone at one of the computers for a while having a semi-par time with my computer-based training when a guy wearing a t-shirt and shorts came and sat down at the computer next to me. It struck me as a little strange for one to come into work with shorts on seeing that everyone else was wearing a button-down shirt and slacks! But his choice of apparel that day, I later found out, it seems was an...
