Steven Pugh

My condolences to the family. I had a delightful lunch with Steve and his cousin, Missy Pugh, several years ago after I moved to RVA. I am a second cousin too - my grandmother Caroline Jannette Pugh, was the younger sister of Steve´s grandfather, William Ellis Pugh. Steve was among the first persons I met when I joined the team at Reynolds Community College. He was a mentor and true gentleman. I so enjoyed our time together helping students build careers. I am glad he had a rich and rewarding life, and that he touched mine in so many positive ways. Godspeed, my friend.

Well, Steve - as 1st cousins and 1st on most things, you managed to beat me to "The Stairway to Heaven". You're in 1st place before me....again. I guess, for now, I am in 2nd place, still. Our remaining 1st cousin, Jimmy, only a year apart in age for him and me, are running for 2nd place, now...to that "Stairway". I know what you would say to us ".... Bless Your Hearts!" I am so saddened to hear of Steven Pugh´s passing. He was a devoted college professor at Reynolds Community College, and his students truly loved him. I will always remember serving with him on different committees, sharing laughs, and enjoying his kindness and humor. He was a wonderful colleague and friend, and I will miss him greatly. Will always be Stuck on you! So sorry that our friendship ended. You were always so kind to me from my first days at Bank of Virginia and through the years. I am so sorry if I hurt your feelings.
