Read MoreI will never forget presenting research to Dr Sahn when I was a Fellow in 1995. He was so encouraging to me. The effect that has on a young doctor is tremendous. I know Steve had the same effect on thousands of young doctors. He will be so missed. I practice Pulmonary Medicine today in the shadow of Dr Sahn.

Steven Sahn was and is a giant in the medical world upon whose shoulders so many of us who he trained stand when we practice medicine. You can't replace him, you can only hope to emulate him in some small way.

Our deepest condolences to the entire Sahn family. Dr Sahn's legacy will survive into perpetuity. What an honor it has been to have known Steve! I especially appreciate the relationship he and Julie forged as there were likely not many who could have performed to his expectations.
