Steven Sampson

To the Sampson family, it was such a shock to have just learned Steve had passed away. I worked with Steve at the Colorado Department Transportation in the late nineties. He was a consummate professional to work with through the AG's office. When he got on board with the E-470 project, I had hoped that we might have worked together as he often mentioned of the possibility, but that was the last I had seen of him and I've often wondered how he is doing. I was the administrative assistant in one of the two courts in San Antonio that had condemnation jurisdiction and I would concur with the obituary about his professionalism and demeanor. He always had time to stop in the hallway and we would chat. I am so sorry for your loss.

As a real estate appraiser, I worked with Steve in an adversarial role; however, you would have never guessed that I was his adversary by judging his demeanor. He was always friendly, well mannered and polite - a rarity in my business. He will be missed.
