Not sure what to say?

Of the 70plus students who attended our Junior Year Abroad with Gonzaga University in Florence, Italy in 1966-67 - very few stand out in my memory as distinctly as Steve Sanders. He was a year younger than the rest of us, and he carried such a lightness, a vitality, an innocence, a vulnerability that appears to have been a constant throughout his entire life. "A poet" at life. Aloha, Inette Miller

Steve was a neighborhood buddy and classmate at Laurelhurst grade school with me. We were life long friends although I only saw him one time after college, about ten years ago, when he came to my house for a tuna sandwich . He was always such a bright guy and he told me that the woman he lived with was the love of his life which I loved to hear! I am sorry about his passing. Condolence's to the family. Joyce Hockley Smith.

Steve was often a guest at my parents or my brothers, DaddyO even took him salmon fishing. Some fond memories.

There are two things I have always remembered that Steven helped me with. 1) He was there for our family when our oldest son Zachary needed a representative when in quest for his Eagle Scot badge and Joe was out at sea. Steven stepped up and filled that role without hesitation. 2) When my father died so suddenly within a 24 hr period leaving me devastated with grief, Steve said, "He did it just fine," which relieved my pain. Thank you Steven. Your kindness burned bright. RIP.
