Dear Saranecki family - I ran into a h.s. friend tonight at dinner (Tracy L.) and through reminiscing about many great people, I learned of Steve's passing. Words cannot express my deep empathy for your family. I do remember that Steve had a wonderful family and especially wonderful mother and my heart goes out too all of you. I was just thinking about Steve recently through connecting with a grade school friend, Brian S., who lives right near D.J....and the three of them all seemed to stick...

Dear Kathy and Scott,
Our love goes out to you and your entire family. Our families spent many years together on the benches of Niles North and all the schools on the north side cheering on the boys. All the boys on the football, baseball and basketball teams looked up to Steve. He was a wonderful leader and friend to everyone, both young and old.
The football team was looking forward to the reunion that Steve was planning. That team will never be the same. They will always...
