Bailey & Foster Funeral Home - Palestine Obituary

Steven Bryan Schmuker went home to the Lord September 9, 2021. He was 66 years old.


The funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Bailey and Foster Chapel, 207 S. Magnolia St., Palestine, TX. at 10:00 AM. David Schmuker, Mark Schmuker and


Tim Carlson will officiate. Burial will immediately follow the service at Roselawn Park.


Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Bailey and


Foster. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.


Steve was born June 2, 1955 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Wayne and Marilyn Schmuker. He


graduated high school in 1973. He was retired from Walmart where he was a Walmart truck


driver from 2011 to 2020. During his career, he earned numerous driving certifications and


safety awards.


He was preceded in death by his father and mother. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy


Beasley Schmuker: his children; Caleb Schmuker and wife Alea, Chad Schmuker, Steven


Schmuker, Jr., Jason Huddleston and wife Laura and Keri Vaughan: Brothers; David Schmuker


and wife Julia, Mark Schmuker and wife Debbie, Paul Schmuker and wife Sandy and Andrew


Schmuker and wife Jeree; Sisters Sharon Carlson and husband Tim and Ora Mae Henry;


Grandchildren Caien Huddleston, Cadyn Huddleston, Makenzie Vaughan, Madison Schmuker,


Morgan Schmuker and Mia Schmuker along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.


Steve’s hobbies included playing golf, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.


He loved his family more than words can say. He stands in our hearts as an incredibly kind,


loving Christian man. We will mourn his loss daily but know we will be reunited in time.


Steve’s heart was heavy for the homeless, the family asks that any charitable donations made in


Steve’s memory be made to someone in need.
