Steve was one of my closest friends while we were at the School of Forestry and Environmental Studies at Yale. I stayed in touch on and off after 1980. He was a wonderful person and a true friend. The world is a lesser place with the Steve Schulmans. My thoughts and condolences to Laurie and his children.
