Not sure what to say?

Mr Shively was an amazing teacher at Troy Christian, and I think about his classes a lot. He made history enjoyable and always had a good story to tell. Thanks for all the memories

Mr. Shively was by far one of my favorite teachers at Bethel. He never showed favoritism and was always so invested in the lives of his students. He wanted to know them and learn from them. I always remember him saying if he got in trouble with his wife he was in deep Kimchi! Hahaha!
I also remember him having us write ourselves a letter, each year, with short-term and long-term goals for ourselves. Then he’d send them to us at the end of the year and we’d get to look them back over. It...

I've know Steve since the 4th grade. We shared many of the same interests and had so much fun together growing up. So many great memories. He was my best man at my wedding and I remember in the reception line one of my wife's grandmothers gave him a big kiss, thinking he was me! (Well, we did bear a resemblance). Anyway, to say he will be missed is an understatement, but I know we well see him again because he has simply moved to a better home and is rejoicing in Jesus' presence. Later, Steve

Taught with Steve for many years at Bethel. One of the qualities of a good teacher is what kids say about your strengths as a teacher. Reading what has been said verifies that Steve was well thought of. Heaven just added a great History teacher. RIP, STEVE.

Mr. Shively was my History teacher at Bethel Local. I am thankful He is safe with our Lord and praying now for his family. Glad He knew God and we will see him again!

In loving memory of a wonderful teacher, save us some mints up there!

Thank you for giving me a great love of learning, specially, HISTORY! I will forever be in your debt!
