Not sure what to say?

Sheila, I just discovered that my dear friend and former associate Steve had passed away. My heart felt condolences. I worked with Steve for many years at Chemsearch and can say that I never met another guy quite like him. What a natural born sales person and leader he was. He never lacked for enthusiasm and throw that in with a sense of humor you were always entertained when around Steve. After working with him a while you understood why he was so successful at Chemsearch. I feel privileged...

It's sad but true, that I have learned more about my family via obituaries than in life. I am the oldest daughter of Gail Pitluk Shapiro, cousin of Sonny, who I never got to know well, unfortunately. Gail died on the 4th of January, 2019, and with her passed all of the memories of familial connections. I am sorry that they died with her, but such is life. Please accept my condolences. May Sonny's memory be a blessing to us all, and may he dwell in the house of the Lord forever. In mom's...

Marvin and Rheta Meyers such a wonderful person

the world has lost a good man

Hi Sheila: So sorry to hear about Steve. He was a very nice gentleman. He will be missed I am sure. Sending you hugs and peace during this time. Reba Murray - Chemsearch St. Louis Sales office.

Our condolences to Sheila and the Simkin family ... Sonny and my husband, Sheldon , worked together at the NCH Corp for many years. I always looked forward to the sales mtgs so that I spend time with both Sonny and Sheila ... Sonny had a personality bigger than life with a great sense of humor and a heart of gold and we truly loved him !! Over the past few yrs , we lost contact due to illness on both sides . We will love and cherish the time we had together ! Our thoughts...

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

This is Steve Sidell, Sonny was a close friend of my older brother Barnett (Red) Sidell. I used to play softball with Sonny on Sundays when I was just a high school kid. He would pick me up every Sunday and I played with the older guys (like Sonny). It was a great time for me. Sonny was at our house on Coyle Ave in Rogers Park many times. Red and Sonny were good friends. Sending my condolences to the entire family.

My deepest sympathy to the Simkin family. I had the pleasure of volunteering with Steve at the USO/O'Hare.
