I don't mean to make this about me, but finding this was a real gut punch. Steve was one of the nicest, brightest and most likeable people who ever entered my life. I'm hurting too Kathy. :'(

I met Steve when we enrolled at Johns Hopkins University in the fall of 1963. We became very close friends, almost inseparable; we visited each other's homes; and were roommates (with bunk beds!)our sophomore year. Although we haven't communicated recently, I have wonderful memories of all we shared as we entered our world of independence. My condolences to the family.
