Steven T. Skory

MANISTEE -- Steven T. "Steve" Skory, 56, of Spokane, Wash. and Manistee, Mich., died at his family home in Manistee, of cancer, on Friday, Sept. 7, 2018. He was surrounded by his family and passed peacefully.

Steve was born in Manistee to Elaine (Dossett) Skory and the late Marion Skory on Sept. 4, 1962.

He is survived by his mother, Elaine Skory; two brothers, David and Gary Skory; two nieces and their spouses, Jennifer and Mark Cameron and Melanie and Jason Weigold; four great-nephews, Bryce, Noah and Caleb Cameron and Alec Weigold; and many other relatives and friends.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Marion Skory on April 30, 1972; and by his sister-in-law, Stacey (Tarr) Skory on Nov. 22, 1986.

A celebration of Steve's life will be held at a later date.

Those wishing to remember Steve are asked to consider a donation in his name, to Homeward Bound Animal Shelter of Manistee or their local humane society.
