Not sure what to say?

When Steven was about 10 years old, we sat down to the supper table and Steven said to our Mom, "I am thinking about growing a beard for deer hunting season this year." She looked at him (just as serious and said, "You go right ahead."

Steven was the best brother a person could have. He was generous, fun, and a great brother. I will always remember and miss you. Love you always, Susan.

When I was 18, I had a party over Christmas break with some Drum and Bugle Corps friends. Steven had snuck some beers and got drunk. My Mom knew about the party. I was grounded for Steven getting drunk. I asked her why I was grounded? She said that I should have been watching him. I said he's 15, and should have known better!

Steven and Tamera had built a duplex. I went to check it out. Steven and I went out to the deck. It faced I-90. I said to Steven, remember when we were kids sitting the porch, and would wave and shake our arms to the semi's to make them honk their horns. Next thing, both of us are waving at cars and semi's. We giggled about it for one half hour. His wife came outside and asked us "what the hell we were doing ?" We told her, next thing you know Tamera was waving too with us.

Steven liked to take things apart and put them back together. One day he had taken apart an alarm clock. He had to test the alarm. He was at the foot of the couch. I was laying on the couch and the cat was napping by me. Well, Steven tested the alarm. The cat took off, scratching my ear. Steven said, "now you have cat scratch fever!"

Steven was about 4 years old. He took his trike over to the neighbors house (they had a very steep driveway). Steven got on the trike with his peanut butter sandwich and went down the driveway. He said "Look Mom and Dad no feet!". Next thing, he crossed the street, hit the curb, went over the trike. When he got up, he said, "I still have my peanut butter sandwich."

When we were young, I told Steven that Mom said we could open a present before Christmas. Steven began to open up a present. Next I said, "Mom if Steven gets to open a present, then I get to open one too!"

One day Steven (13) and I (16),were on our way to school. I said to Steven, isn't my shifting good? He looked at me and said, "Susan we are on glare ice!"

Our parents painted the house redwood in approximately 1967. Steven was about 4 years old. He decided to paint the pedal firetruck and the dog redwood! He started his career in paint and body work.
