Steve and I travelled together in Egypt and India in the early 80's. It was only for a few months (maybe 6) but you bond quickly especially in those pre-internet days. I found his contact again in 2012? and sent an email. We sent a few emails back and forth. My last email from him was Sept 2020. I am so sad to learn about Steve´s passing. Some of my favorite memories of Steve were our team walks to get frozen yogurt- we were productive in terms of work discussions, but he always encouraged everyone to connect on a fun and interpersonal level. New employees felt comfortable right away on his team and he always nurtured a harmonious environment. He always gave good encouragement when needed, was so genuine (he always remembered everyone´s kids names) and you always felt like you...

I had been in contact with Steve via Facebook over the past few months, unaware of how serious his illness was. I regret that I didn't get a chance to visit with him as I would have loved talking with him about his travels in the Southwest U.S. He was a great friend and brother during my memorable UR days. He will indeed be missed.
