This sums up the life of cousin Ed beautifully. He did have a down-to-earth way about him that drew people to him. As mentioned, he was one heck of a cook. When I visited Ed and family several years ago, I was treated to his several course Chinese meal. I will never forget it. He always finished our conversations with "Love you Cuz." Ed, you truly are missed.
